Anastasiia Lenna is well-known for her representation of Ukraine in the Miss Grand International Beauty Pageant in 2015. In February 2022, she gained social media attention after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, where she warned the invaders that they would be shot.
Although it was suggested that she had enlisted in the Ukrainian army, Lenna clarified that the photo was taken years ago when she was playing airsoft and that she had not joined the military. Her act of bravery inspired many Ukrainians, and her message of standing up for her country resonated with many, showing how a single image can inspire a nation.
