Christina Aguilera’s Inspiration on Her ‘Worst Days’: Demi Lovato’s Story

Just recently, 38-year-old Christina Aguilera kicked off her Planet Hollywood Residency show tagged The Xperience, in Las Vegas. Her friend and inspiration, Demi Lovato, was found in the audience cheering her.

Speaking with E! News, Aguilera opened up about the story she shares with Lovato, which took place over a decade ago. According to Aguilera, Demi Lovato told her that while she had attended one of Christina’s concerts 11 years ago, Lovato turned to face the audience, soaked in the air and imagined the show was hers.

Aguilera remarked that she loved to hear stories like this one and that this kind of moments, keeps her going when things get tough. Learning about her positive influence was an essential ingredient that made her able to go on during her worst days. She also stated that knowing her songs inspire people while helping to move the music industry forward, also helps to bring a smile to her face.

Lovato, 26, wasn’t left out in the feels as she went on to praise Aguilera’s performance at The Xperience by posting several pictures of the pair cuddling up backstage. She also made it known that though she’s close with Aguilera and has even released a song with her (in 2018), this was the first time she had seen her live in a concert since she was 14 and that made the performance extra special for her. She also went on to narrate her story of the first day she met with Aguilera, and one of her remarks was that working with Aguilera was a dream come true, literally. Lovato also commented that Aguilera was a sweet and gracious friend.

The talented Aguilera had to overcome great difficulties in the past year, so we’re sure the support of her friend was significant. Indeed, Christina didn’t give up and is recovering well from the unfortunate overdose she faced a little over a year ago.
