Did You Know Oprah Was Pre-Diabetic in 2015?

Oprah Winfrey needs no introduction. Throughout the years, The Oprah Winfrey Show has been a source of inspiration for many households in the US and across the world. In her shows, Oprah has always been vocal about whatever issues she faces in her personal life. Be it mental health or physical health; she shares all those so other people could also take inspiration from her.

In 2015, Oprah joined Weight Watchers (or known as WW), first as a member and later as their official spokesperson. Following the partnership with the healthy lifestyle brand, Oprah told her viewers how much the program had helped her. Additionally, she also shared that she lost about 42 pounds by being part of the WW journey.

However, on Global Wellness Day, the self-made billionaire shared a letter with the members of the WW community and her global fanbase. Oprah revealed information that she hadn’t shared with anyone before releasing that statement; Oprah admitted that she was diagnosed with pre-diabetes before she joined WW.

This came as a surprise to many, as Oprah is known for always sharing meaningful personal experiences. The diva further stated that now, her blood pressure is stabilized and in a range that is considered to be healthy. Further, she mentioned that her blood sugar level was also stable and normal.

Oprah was proud of the fact that WW changed her life and made her maintain healthier life choices. At the end of the day, she knew which numbers mattered the most.

On the last Global Wellness Day, Oprah shared a post on Instagram, saying that if you start every morning with one small healthy habit, it could go a long way. The video shows her hiking with her friend, the editor of The Oprah Magazine, and her dog Sadie.
