Dolly Parton (aka Dolly Rebecca Parton) is a singer and songwriter. She is also into the fields of record producing, writing, business, and humanitarian works. Parton first made her debut into the entertainment industry by serving as a composer for other artists. After some time (in the year 1967), she had her first-ever album. From there on, her career and popularity soared, continuing to do so in the 1970s and 1980s. During the 90s, she experienced a temporary lull in her career. She came back with a vengeance in the following decade.
Dolly walked down the aisle with Carl Dean (who happens to avoid the spotlight preferring instead to remain a person). A fact worth noting about their marriage is that it has lasted for more than five decades. They renewed their vows in celebration of their fiftieth wedding anniversary four years ago.
