Ichiro Suzuki – Los Angeles – $2.45 Million

Ichiro Suzuki is a Japanese professional baseball player who played 12 years for the Mariners before moving on to the New York Yankees. He then moved on to play three seasons for the Marlins before returning to the Mariners in 2018. Suzuki announced his retirement from professional baseball after playing 28 successful seasons as an exquisite outfielder.

Ichiro bought the 1920s building in 2007 and paid $2.2 million for it. He sold it in 2017 for $2.45 million, making a well-earned profit and displaying the attractiveness of downtown Los Angeles. Suzuki stays true to his Japanese heritage by including it in his interior design: The modern interior has a clean white feel with natural bamboo and light hardwood flooring. The open beams and pipes give the home an arty aesthetic.
