$13,000 doesn’t seem a lot these days but back in 1957, Kim Novak whipped out a $13,000 check and bought herself a sleek black Cadillac. Buying a car for that price was insane for the 1950’s. If someone could afford it, it was Kim. She starred in many groundbreaking films including
Malibu, Falcon Crest, Picnic and
Vertigo. Although Kim is now in retirement she is still known as one of Hollywood’s best golden age actresses. On-screen and in movies she was seen driving numerous fancy cars like the 1957 Jaguar Mark VII. Nowadays she is keeping a low profile, spending quality time with family and making rare red carpet appearances, but she will always be remembered for her influence in the movie scene.
