It is easy to dismiss this woman as mean when we just stare at her smug expression but if we check what was inside her coat, we can say that she was simply protecting something vulnerable: a kitten that she probably rescued on her way to the train. And for that, we couldn’t be more thankful to this savior for changing the life of a stray.
According to People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, there are an estimated 60 to 100 million stray cats in the United States alone. Unfortunately, these animals have short lifespans because they only depend on humans and other scraps for food and survival.
