The boys walked up the steps to continue exploring, yet they couldn’t resist staring around the hall. They imagined the events that may have been hosted within it in the past and the elegant travelers who must have graced the floor in their best dresses, ready for a long night of celebration.
Their imagination ran wild even as they came across a corridor full of rooms. Within every open door was a dingy room coated in dust that had accumulated for many years. None of the lightings worked, but they could see much luggage scattered across the floor. As if the residents had left in a hurry.
