Mike and Jeff made a lot of noise as they tried to force the door open. But all of their efforts were in vain. No matter how much force they extended in dragging it open, the door wouldn’t budge. Amid all the grunts they made as they pushed their arms to the limit, they heard the sound again.
There was no doubt about it. Someone was in there! The boys had thought they were the only ones on board the abandoned ship, but now it seemed they weren’t alone. “Hello,” they called. “Can you hear us?” But all they got in response was a muffled scream.
