A Sense of Foreboding
Mike did nothing more than sigh and shook his head after listening to Jeff’s idea. It was no less dangerous than the original plan. But at least this way, they could easily call for help if anything went wrong. He nodded his agreement and followed Jeff as he climbed up the deck.
He could have stayed in the boat, waiting for his friend to assuage his curiosity. But neither was comfortable with leaving the other alone to fend for themself. So up to the deck they went. They had a strong sense of foreboding as they got onto the ship.
