John Wayne (real name Marion Mitchell Morrison) was a highly talented and very energetic actor, until his death in June 1979. He was nicknamed “Duke” during his years in the entertainment sector and during his later days, he became a filmmaker. He’s also a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. In recent times, the 4,500-square-foot house, he and his wife, Pilar, left behind has been placed on the market and it is currently priced at $3.95 million dollars.
The building which was constructed in 1973, is located at 14 Rue Ducal, Newport Beach. The current homeowners, Irwin and Margaret Much, who now seek to sell the house, originally tore the building down, whilst still preserving Wayne’s most important possesions, and then rebuilt it.
