John Lennon – Murder
For any rock fan, the Beatles were the iconic stars of the 20th century. The most famous of the Beatles was arguably John Lennon. The Beatles set the blueprint and inspiration to future musicians as they were the first group that acquired super fans like we see today. Lennon bragged of having 25 singles in the Billboard 100. He was a man of talent like the world had not experienced, especially at that level before.
To the shock of the entire world, John was murdered at 40 in the year 1980. He was killed by Mark Chapman, who claimed that he did so because of his immense fame. The murder took place outside his apartment, where he lived with Yoko Ono. Lennon’s death was beyond shocking for most. He will always be remembered through his music and his enormous influence on pop culture.
