Anthony Bourdain – Suicide

Anthony Bourdain was light to the culinary community. He rose to fame from his culinary shows, such as No Reservation and The Layover. Bourdain rubbed shoulders with famous artists and captains of industry as a result of being an executive chef at the French restaurant, Brasserie Les Halles, near Manhattan. He held this position after graduating from the Culinary Institute of America. He is also an author of a bestselling book Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly.

His death came as a shock to many as it was reported he ended his own life. On June 8, 2018, his body was found dead in his Le Chambard room in Kayserberg from an apparent hanging. The public prosecutor reported that there were no signs of violence evident on his body, nor were there any narcotics in his system according to his toxicology report. He did not have any history of substance abuse. He remains an inspiration to many through his book and shows.
