His arrest in 2018 was no shock to the world, as Brown has had many run-ins with the law in previous years. Brown’s most public arrest was in 2009 when he physically assaulted his famous girlfriend at the time, singer Rihanna.
Brown was arrested on 5 July 2018 in Palm Beach, Florida for not attending to a warrant he was given the previous year for physically assaulting a photographer. Brown paid $2,000 and was released. The singer was arrested again earlier in 2019 in France on claims of sexually assaulting a younger woman.
