Before June Shannon motivated and inspired the world with her drastic weight loss transformation, she was a heavy, controversial character. June, better known as Mama June, first came under public scrutiny while appearing on reality TV show Toddlers and Tiaras. Her famous daughter, Honey Boo Boo, got a spin-off series called Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The TV personality was judged by the way she raised her daughters.
In 2008, Mama June was arrested in Henry County for contempt to court and alleged theft of child support payments after divorce to Mike ‘Sugar Bear’ Thompson. The charges were dropped the same day as it was made. Since then, Mama June changed her lifestyle, and she appeared in her own reality TV show named Mama June: From Hot to Not.
