Matthias Reim was born on November 26, 1957 in Korbach, Hesse, but spent his childhood and youth in Homberg. After graduating from high school, the young Matthias decided to study and enrolled at the University of Göttingen. There he briefly studied German and English. He quickly realized, however, that he would rather turn his hobby into a profession and that he was already concentrating more on music during his studies, and that with great success!
Despite his breakthrough and great success, Matthias Reim also knows the darker side of life. In 2006 the singer had to file for bankruptcy, which resulted from liabilities of 13 million euros. But he also mastered this phase of life and has been debt-free since 2010.
Musically things went up again for the singer and today he has found happiness both privately and professionally! We are happy for you, Matthias!
