Lothar Matthäus

Lothar played 150 times for the German national team and for FC Bayern he played 302 Bundesliga games and scored 85 goals. In 1990 and 1999 he was  footballer of the year  in Germany, and in 1990 in Europe. He was named  World Footballer of the Year  in 1990 and 1991.

Today Lothar Matthäus works as a football expert, including for the pay-TV broadcaster Sky, and tried his hand at coaching. After his engagement as coach of the Bulgarian national team in 2011, the offers did not materialize. In April 2019, he therefore decided to finally end his coaching career.
