Something even stranger happened the moment the men walked in. The muffled screams they’d heard earlier became louder. It was Jeff’s turn to mutter a soft “shit” under his breath. “We have to get out of here.” He said to the curious Mike.
“What did you see?” Mike was concerned about the look of fear on Jeff’s face. His friend was the brave one. The one who was always unruffled by unexpected situations. Something terrible must have happened for him to look visibly frightened. “They have someone tied up in there,” Jeff replied. “I think we’ve stumbled upon a kidnapper’s lair.”
