Kevin Smith is the filmmaker best known for his low-budget comedy film Clerks and is work in the horror genre with projects such as Red State, Tusk and Yoga Hosers. The filmmaker has been open with his weight issues throughout his career, Smith has a history of yo-yo dieting in which he kept rapidly losing and then regaining his weight to the point where he weighed over 400 pounds. Kevin Smith tried several methods to cut his weight down such as eliminating sugar from his diet and taking up a juice fast, however, this all wasn’t enough as he suffered from a heart attack in 2018 which his weight was the main contributor for. After Smith aimed to lose 50 pounds which he has achieved through a diet which involves eating a plant based vegan diet.
