When Michael stumbled upon the buses up for auction, he immediately felt a connection to one in particular. It had an armadillo sign on the side, so it had earned the nickname “the armadillo bus.” What made it even more special was that two of his friends had ridden it to school when they were younger. It was like the bus had come into his life to help him find joy.
Throughout the renovation process, Michael would think of his friends’ stories and the memories they shared. They even offered help with the project, although the armadillo sign was sadly scraped off when it came time to finish the outside of the bus.
