The Spill

Climate changes worldwide have encouraged people to step up their environmental conservation efforts over the years. However, some incidents still happen that release chemicals and cause significant damage. For instance, in 2010, the Ajkai Timfoldgyar aluminum plant released about 35 million cubic feet of aluminum-infused caustic mud from a holding reservoir.

The result of the release was the deaths of at least nine people and the destruction of plants, as this picture shows. Palindromo Meszaros took this photo, which may be mistaken for two stitched ones. However, this was the reality: the spill killed the underbrush and left red stains on the trees.
