Tupac aka 2Pac aka Makaveli (real name: Tupac Amaru Shakur) was an American actor and rapper. His contribution to the rap industry during the late ’80s and early ’90s was highly acclaimed and respected. Tupac’s lyrics were filled with emotion and was extremely relatable by fans.
In 1993, Tupac was arrested by New York police on charges of sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman with three of his friends in a New York night club. The famous rapper was sentenced to four and a half years in Clinton Correctional Facility. He was released after serving only nine months. Three years later the rapper was mysteriously shot and killed. His sudden death is still mourned by many rappers in his community.
