Although women have been serving in the Australian military for more than a century, it wasn’t until 2011 that they were permitted to join their male counterparts on the front lines of battle. This shift towards gender inclusivity in the military provides more opportunities for women to serve their country and is a progressive step in creating a more diverse workforce.
