However, due to its close proximity to Russia, this affluent and socially equitable nation faces complex geopolitical challenges, necessitating a robust military, and it has all that in excess.
In Norway, both men and women have an obligation to serve in the military for 12 to 19 months. This woman is a member of Jegertroppen, a mostly female Norwegian army troop established in 2014 to fulfill the need for highly-trained female soldiers to communicate with women and children, gather intelligence, and deploy to Afghanistan.
