Mike Loses Sight of Jeff
Before Mike could utter a sound, Jeff threw the rock up the stairs and the bang resounded across the ship. The boys retreated into the shadows as the man ran out of the room, heading towards the stairs. “Is that you, Derek?” he yelled. The man waited for a second before running up the stairs.
The boys waited until the sound of his footfalls faded before running towards the room. But things went wrong almost immediately. Jeff had just pushed the door and entered the room when Mike heard the men return down the stairs. He rushed to the side and hid behind a large metal fixture.
