Veteran Stars You Thought Were Long Gone but Are Not Even Planning Their Retirement

Bob Barker — December 12, 1923

Bob Barker holds a special place in every American household. And all thanks to his stint on the longest-running daytime game show, The Price Is Right on CBS. He was the host of the show from 1972 until 2007. When the show went off the air, it was a heartbreaking moment for all his fans.

Before joining the entertainment industry, Robert William Barker served in the United States Navy during World War II. He eventually pursued his passion for being an entertainer and a radio announcer.

The game show host is now in his 90s and leading a comfortable life with his $70 million net worth. But we are sure he misses his wife Dorothy Jo Gideon, with whom he walked down the aisle in 1945. The couple had a long and happy married life for three and a half decades until the demise of Dorothy Jo Gideon in 1981.
