Charlotte Rae – Bone Cancer
Charlotte Rae’s talent was a point of envy and aspiration for a lot of people in the craft. She shone on both stage and the small screen as reflected by her Tony and Emmy nominations, respectively. Charlotte was known for the 1980’s sitcom The Facts of Life, where she appeared for almost a decade. The actress apparently shared her own struggles with the writers of the show to give it an air of realism. She went on to star in The Facts of Life spinoff Stokes, where she played the unforgettable role of Edna Garrett.
Charlotte died on August 5th, 2018, from bone cancer. Although the timeless star was 92 years old, her death was a blow to many. The television industry lost one of it’s most precious diamonds that day.
