Robert Downey Jr. has graced our screens in many Marvel full movies where he portrays the comedic character, Tony Stark in the Iron Man movies. Robert has also won numerous awards for his acting performances including Saturn Awards, Golden Globe Awards, and the acclaimed Oscar nomination for his leading role in 1992 movie Chaplin.
Robert has had some struggles with substance abuse in the past, and in 1999 he was arrested by the Californian police. The arrest was due to Robert’s noncompliance to taking required substance testing while on probation. This follows an arrest in 1996 where Robert was charged with possession of illegal substances like heroin and cocaine. He was arrested for the same charges in 2000 and 2001. After going for substance abuse treatment, Robert finally let go of his old ways and is still living a successful career in Hollywood.
